99 Cents Only Stores To Begin Raising Prices
Some of you long time assorted dollar price point shoppers have no doubt noticed smaller packages and items no longer being carried on your local store shelves. Now, the chain known as 99 Cents Only (a chain that I believe is only located in the SW) is about to begin raising their prices on some items. They say it will only be certain items, but be on the lookout for more items to rise as well.
So does this hit the panic button for anyone else?
I fear other chains will soon follow suit. If you can afford the added expense, and there are items you frequently use that do not expire (trash bags, sponges etc) or have a longer shelf life (bags of pasta, rice) I suggest you begin stockpiling a few extra - even if it's just having 2 or 3 in reserve. I know as soon as I get my next survey check, I'll be visiting my Dollar Tree to get a few extra things!
