Actually, today, the 27th, is a special day in my husband and I's life story. On this day, we announced to our families that we really loved each other. We got engaged four days later (Yes, on Halloween!)
I call today the day my FIL decided he hated me. LOL I'm still not quite sure what my DH said at the time (he spoke to his parents first without me present), but my FIL was less than happy with the situation. He's long over it now, but I chuckle a little at the fear the man placed in me back then. (At the time, I was more afraid of his mother's reaction than FIL's, since DH was, and always will be, a Mamma's boy!)

I met my hubby online when he was stationed in Japan. So when he was back in the States we had limited time to meet each other let alone our families. He came to my hometown for the weekend before going to his folks'. Then the next weekend I travelled down to see him again and meet his parents. I loved them all right away, his mom is such a sweetie. And my husband is a mama's boy through and through too!

I met my MIL at midnight when I had no makeup on, two days after we started dating. That was a great impression!
