Wandering Thoughts...

Gas was $2.89 here. Well, at one place anyways - just down the street it was still $3.19! I really hope it stays on a downward cycle for a few months to allow us all to catch our breath and recover from some of these prices!

I will say I have enjoyed shopping my "stockpile" this last week. I am incredibly thankful that we did decide to buy that deep freezer as it has made all the difference! I did notice the other day when we stopped in at WalMart that they had raised the price on the freezer we purchased by $15 - another reason I am really glad we already purchased it. I was guilty of not making a menu plan again this week, and I have been floundering without it. I'm going to work on next week's menu later on, DH is home most of the week. (his new job leaves much to be desired, but at least he's close to home)

And for my American readers, I really hope that you are registered to vote. (If you haven't, I believe some states are still allowing you to register in person until next week - check on your state's website) It doesn't matter who you vote for, just please, get out there and vote! (especially if you are a woman - it's hard to believe 100 years ago, we didn't have that right) Wouldn't it be something if 90% of folks who could vote, went to the polls!

BTW, I will be participating again in the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival coming up on October 27th! And I promise, I'll do a small one that my international readers can enter too! :)
