Have you ever been told you "can't" because you're a girl?
Raise your hand if somewhere in your lifetime you've ever been told or heard someone tell you something wasn't for girls! As a kid, I remember being told hockey wasn't a girl friendly sport. Pffft! So when I landed on Girls Can't WHAT? and spotted the hockey design, I was in LOVE!

Being from an older generation, there were lots of things that were not expected to be done by females. The one thing that I remember is when I was planning to go into the military, I wasn't told that I couldn't do it because I was a girl, but was given verbal warnings by my hairdresser that it was not a thing that 'nice' girls did. But when told I would be in the Nurse Corps, it was OK, since nursing was considered an honorable female profession, even in the military.

The Mow N Grow in a Green T shirt size small. Great to give to a daughter who thinks she doesn't have to share in yard chores just because she's a girl. I mowed, racked and pulled weeds growing up, and it didn't hurt me a bit.

I was told I shouldn't go to college by my dad as I would just get married and have kids. I finished college, got married and had kids. I worked in my career for almost 20 years (part-time)then gave it up to raise my kids.

Light Girls Can't WHAT? Logo on a cap-sleeve T-shirt.
Last week, my daughter went to a birthday party where all the girls were taught to curtsy and wave wands like princesses. At the same time, right on the other side of the room (visible), the boys were learning tae kwon do. My daughter has been studying tae kwon do since she was three, and none of the boys there had a clue. She was furious, because she said they were awful and she wasn't allowed to show them what's what!
