K9Cuisine offers only the highest quality pet products. (Cat owners: don't run away yet - they also carry kitty food, so you can shop them too!) Many of the products they carry are human grade, something which is very important to me after that horrible pet food recall several years ago.
I encourage you that if you have any questions, or are looking to switch your pet(s) to a different food, to drop their customer service a line or call them - they'll help you find the right food for the furry members of your family. Especially if you and your pet are dealing with a food allergy - I've been there in the past, and I know how frustrating it is to find a food that won't make it worse (and expensive trying many different brands!)
Nothing comes between the Pudgy Princess and her cookies, but if she doesn't like a treat, she's not going to eat it. A princess has to have discriminating taste, right?
Here's a run down on some of products she tried:
Plato Dog Treats Duck Strips: They look almost like mini jerky strips. Just the right size for the Pudgy Princess, they are made with no artificial preservatives and no by products. They are also high in protein. Plus, they come in a resealable bag. (Happy corgi!)
Wagatha's Tuscan Tomato treats: Bone shaped, these arrived in a 9 oz cylinder container. Wheat free makes them perfect for doggies with allergies, and they are of course organic. I think this container was gone in a day, she loved them so much!
NatureNosh Gourmet Treats - Chicken Parmesan flavor: I'd actually never heard of this organic brand before. They are also teeny tiny bone shaped cookies, making them great for smaller dogs or doggies that need to watch their waistline. They arrive in a round jar with a lid. I've got to tell you, these smell something incredible! You'll want to snack on them they smell that good. ;)
Australian Pet Foods Kangaroo Tail Twin Pack: I'll admit, I kind of cringed when I saw these in the box. I wasn't so keen on the idea of my dog chomping on part of a cuddly 'roo. Now, these bones, she had help from my parent's corgi, Toby Won Kenobi. This was a two pack, and we were visiting, so we shared. Toby thought he won the lottery - he took off with that bone, and we didn't see him for a half an hour which says something. He's just a pup, and has a great set of chompers. In fact when Pudgy Princess got bored, Toby stole hers and finished it off! Tell me this isn't dog heaven for these two:
Wellness Core Ocean Formula (kibble): We actually feed the petting zoo Wellness most of the time, so this wasn't anything new to them. This particular formula is grain free. It's great for dogs with allergies (which is actually how I was introduced to the brand years ago, with one of our other corgis) I'm a firm believe in that good quality dog food, while it may be more expensive, actually saves you money in the long run - not only does your dog get full on less, but it does cut down on some of the health problems associated with extra junk and calories in lower brands.
Burns Brown Rice & Ocean Fish (kibble): I used this as a treat, giving Pudgy a piece as a reward. Let me tell you, she LOVED this! In fact, Daddy says we have to order more. ;) Again, it contains no corn, wheat, or soy, and is human grade.
Orijen Adult Formula (kibble): Again, another dry dog food free of animal by-products and other unnecessary junky fillers. It's made out of 70% Premium Animal Ingredients and no grain - another good one for allergy prone dogs.
Everything arrived packaged carefully and safely. K9Cuisine's prices are on par with all the local haunts for different foods, and even better, they have free shipping on orders of $50 (which we quickly hit with this zoo) Plus, they almost always ship out on the same day which is good if you are like me, and realize you are almost at the bottom of the bag. ;)
