It's Preparedness Tuesday - each Tuesday I post one thing you can do to help prepare you and your family for everyday disasters - be it job loss, bad weather (between being stuck in the middle of hurricane season, and the coming colder winter we're predicted), or even that ugly recession they keep talking about (blech!)
This week it's a reminder that Daylight Savings time is Sunday, March 8th for most of the US. Take a moment over the weekend to check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, as well all flashlights and your emergency radios, if you own one.
It's a great time to also check through your medicine cabinets and throw out the expired items, as well as make a list of any items you need to restock.
