Review & Giveaway: Shidonni

Shidonni is a new free virtual drawing game for kids that allows you to draw an animal, a place for the animal to live in, and you can even feed it! The animal comes to life and moves around on the screen, helping to promote your child's creativity. Everything in the animal's world is created by your child - if they want their dog to be purple with pink spots, they can!

(trust me, my pet didn't look that good! LOL)

Our little one is waaaay too young for this, so I played around with it - it's easy to use, and it's quite fun! (If you like the Sims games, you'll get addicted to this too) It's recommended for kids ages 5 and up, though I don't see why your three and four year old couldn't use it with your supervision. There is even a little bedroom area for your pet to sleep in - you just drag and place the pet you've created into a cute little bed.

I think this one's great to keep kids occupied during Spring Break. They can even add their friends by connecting with other unique usernames, and play little games in the galaxy.

To use Shidonni, you do need to have Microsoft Silverlight installed on the computer you'll be using to play around on Shidonni. Shidonni also has a pro account, that allows you to dress up your pets, and has different sets of creation tools.

Win it! The folks at Shidonni are offering one lucky reader a 3 month Shidonni Pro membership! To enter, visit Shidonni and take a look around. Let me know who this would be for, and what you think they'd create with it. If there's anything you don't like about Shidonni, you can let them know too through your post.

I just thought I'd say that my 3-year old daughter Josie has been playing with this ever since I brought it up for her, and she has been having a BALL with it. Right now, she has all these different animals hopping around on the screen... and she just loves it when they eat the food she draws for them. I just wish I could record all these hopping animals... it's hilarious! Actually, I haven't looked at the site in depth... I'm not sure if that's an option or not. If it isn't, that would be a recommendation I would make! I'd love to share her creations...

Shidonni is based on unique proprietary patented algorithms and using Microsoft Silverlight.

It's good someone has the smarts out there to create a cool interactive program for your child.
This looks fun!

We are having so much fun playing this! My son is three years old and he loves alligators, so we made an alligator. We played Chutes and Ladders with our gator, and learned numbers, and up and down. I would love to win this for him so we can play more!
