The Pledge Fabric Sweeper is a new hand held tool to pick up pet fur off your furniture. It's supposed to be the equivalent of 145 sheets sticky lint roller sheets, and a lot easier to use than peeling all those papers off.
With all these pets in our home (even the bunny hangs out on the sofa!) I was excited to give this a try, especially with my allergies. We usually just use the vacuum cleaner to clean fur off of everything. Since we have hardwood floors, it's the only thing we use the vacuum for.
First up, DH attacked the sofa. We had just de-fur'd it a couple of days ago, so I didn't expect there to be a ton of hair in this little Sweeper. A few strokes back and forth along the top of the sofa, and I realized I was dead wrong:
That's just off the sofa! Ack! Next, we attacked one of the cat trees. Holy smokes, it hasn't looked that clean since we bought it. A huge difference - it seriously looked brand new!
Now, they say the Pledge Fabric Sweeper lasts about three to five weeks with daily use in most households. Ours was full after just one use. With regular use after this first cleaning, I think we'd have to buy one at least once a week. If you have more than one or two furkids, you may too. I have to admit, I'm kind of unsure about the waste since this is disposable. However, at seeing the amount of hair removed, I vote that this is awesome for people with allergies who have pets, or if you are having over anti-pet company.
It is also a lot easier than dragging the vacuum out to remove fur, that's for sure!
The Pledge Fabric Sweeper retails for $4.99. You can visit Pledge's website to print a coupon to save $2 off your purchase!

Oh yeah--I'm off to battle the cat and her poofs she leaves for me everywhere! I'm glad that you wrote about these--I was wondering if it works. Maybe I can save time and just use it on the cat? Hmm.....
You can easily open it up and empty it, either by carefully removing the rollers- or using a small screwdriver to pop the clear top off at the "weld" points. You can pop it right back together or apply velcro so it's easy to rip apart in the future. :o)
