Preparedness Tuesday: Spring Is Here!
It's Preparedness Tuesday - each Tuesday I post one thing you can do to help prepare you and your family for everyday disasters - be it job loss, bad weather (between being stuck in the middle of hurricane season, and the coming colder winter we're predicted), or even that ugly recession they keep talking about (blech!)
Today I want to remind you about several things, including tornado safety. There's been a rash of bad weather throughout the country, so take a moment to go over what to do in case of different emergencies with your family.
Also, with the change of seasons, if you keep clothing in your car for emergencies, remember to switch out the heavy weight winter for lighter weight clothing. If you have food in your emergency kit in the car, remember with the warmer weather, many items can melt and make a mess.
