My question this week: How often do you shop at thrift stores or resale/consignment shops?
We try to go once a week since it's a source of entertainment for us. We alternate which thrifts we hit up too for variety.
Here's my find of the week. It's a brand new cake pan set. Remember seeing these advertised on TV? I was all excited since it was the half off tag, and I bought it for $2.49 plus tax! I figure even if it doesn't actually end up making a checker board pattern (this is me and my lousy baking we're talking here!), I still get three really nice cake pans out of it. ;)
So what did you find lately? Inquiring minds want to know! ;)

I posted earlier this week about my weekend thrifting. I usually go at least twice a month. Sometimes with friends, sometimes I just pop in for an hour on my own.
When I lived in Chicago I used to go to the thrift stores regularly. Especially when my kids were little. It seemed once they got to that in between range between childrens and adult sizes it was hard to find anything in the thrift stores. Now that they were adult sizes it's a bit easier, but there just aren't many thrift stores out here in the burbs.
I use to go weekly when I lived here in NC, there are a few thrift stores that I always finds lots of great finds...but ever since moving to Texas, well.. I am just not happy with the thrift store in my new home town.. :(
Although, I will be here in NC for the next 3 weeks, so I am going to try to squeeze in as many trips as I can! yay!
I used to go two or three times a week when we first took the kids in, now I try to go once during the week, and once on the weekend.
But I have noticed the prices have gone up and I am actually finding less and less useful things.
But it is so much fun to go have a look anyway.
Oh, I thrift shop ANY and EVERY chance I get. There are three main thrifts in my town, plus a few antique/flea markets *indoor* so I am in hog heaven!
I don't have anything to add but I just wanted to say that I am so jealous of your thrift store find! I would have bought it too...and I hate to bake!

I miss going thrifting... there really aren't too many places out here in the middle of nowhere...
