Recipe: Easy Pasta Bake

I don't think it gets much easier than this. ;) I used a Pepper Jack cheese to give it some kick, but mozzarella is just as yummy if your family doesn't do spicy.

1 box/bag pasta (I used penne)
1 small can tomato paste
1 small can/package tomato sauce with basil
1 pound ground sausage
2 cups Pepper Jack shredded cheese

Boil the pasta until it's just about cooked, then drain.

Next, brown the sausage and drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the tomato paste and sauce with the pasta and sausage.

Next, pour the pasta and sauce into a glass baking dish. (I think I used 12x8?)

Cover with cheese. Bake at 350 uncovered for 15-20 minutes.

My cost was $3.73:
pasta $0.50 (on sale)
sausage $1.29 lb (Grocery Outlet's every day price)
tomato paste $0.25 (on sale)
tomato sauce $0.69 (on sale)
cheese $1.00 (on sale)
