Thrift Store Tuesday

Welcome to another week of resale and thrift store shopping!

My question this week: Do you buy anything vintage?

I adore vintage linens! I do better finding them at a reasonable price when we go across the bridge in Tacoma - their Goodwill Outlet sells everything by the pound, and I usually score one or two pieces. Embroidered napkins, aprons, lace doillies? Heaven!

Did you find anything this week? I picked up this little Gymboree purse (we have the dress put away in a bigger size from another thrifting expedition) DH is sulking because he didn't find anything, lol.

Show off what you found! *Editing this to add: if you add a link in here, and you're not participating with a comment or linking a blog post, I will delete it and mark you as spam! I just deleted two spam blogs, and I am not happy.

You brave lady.
Goodwill Outlets scare me.
Rabid people circle the new bins and destroy the good stuff as soon as they come out.
The remnants that are pushed into line are often full of broken glass and other sharp objects.
I've only had one successful trip, and that's because I recognized a Nantucket Bag that was tossed on the floor.

I love Thrift stores, good-willing and yard sales. The latest finds were a rolling suitcase for my cruise, a sun dress for me, and some books for the kids. I love gymboree finds and that was a good one!

I always go take a look at the books.. there are so many awesome, old books that people just dump at Goodwill and I gladly take them...I don't have a picture of them, nor can I find them, as they are still packed away in our boxes that we have never unpacked, and won't unpack because we are moving again in 2 years.. Saying it like that makes me think I should unpack.. 2 years is a long time huh. Well. it will go by quick I am sure. Those books will stay packed.

Sorry, you probably didn't need to hear my inner monologue.

I LOVE vintage! I sometimes feel like I belong back in the 1920's lol. If I could afford it I would wear only vintage clothes and have my house full of vintage things. They just had much more style in my opinion back then, so much detailed original work too. I can't stand this mainstream plastic crud lol.
