Dear Real Estate Agents:
If you want to actually SELL homes, you need to actually put photos of the home in the ad. And we're not just talking 3 shots from virtually the same angle of the house outside. There is a such thing as digital cameras, you know, and it doesn't cost you anything to make sure you have photos of the inside of the home to reel potential buyers in.
No photo of the kitchen? I'm not wasting my time checking out the house. No photos of the inside at all, and this isn't a new listing? It tells me you are hiding something, or you feel showing the home isn't worth your time - therefore, my looking at the home isn't worth my time.
Love,
Storm, the very frustrated Housewife.
Seriously, my head is pounding looking at these real estate sites. So many don't even have how many square feet the home is! Gah!
I refuse to move into any home that does not have a kitchen I can cook in. *crosses arms and sulks* ;)

I feel the exact same way. It really pisses me off when I look at listings (which I do all of the time).
My father is a realtor. He was also technologically challenged but made himself learn how to use a digital camera and get the pictures online.
He puts up no less than twelve pictures with every listing. If my father can do it, then ANYONE can do it.
Stacie
And when they teel you to call for pricing! That means too much money for me!
Oh gosh, this is so true! You wouldn't believe the flyer my first realtor came up with. It was totally stupid. Even said stupid things like, "Views, views, views" when we had no views of anything. I finally made my own flyer and gave it to them. The icing on the cake was when they came in the house to take pictures and the very next day they had one of my tiger pictures on their website. Funny thing is, they spelled it "tigars" -- to this day, we still call them tigars. Some people just shouldn't be in the business!
So true! I want all of my info up front so I know what the deal is.
We aren't house hunting anytime soon but I can relate. Pictures Picture MORE Pictures please!
I'm on the other end of this. I am selling my home and I wish that they would do more to promote my home. It seems to me they are doing the bare minimum to sell our home and I am getting frustrated. Why are we paying them 6% commission for? Seriously! Maybe some realtors are just getting lazy anymore.
