Making Some Party Progress

I was whining to my mommy on the phone about the whole party thing with DH. She told me to just wait until our daughter can tell me what she wants for her parties. Then the fun really begins, because no matter she chooses, it will always be one of the hardest things to find at the store.

Great. I just know it, I'm going to be the one with the kid screaming about a purple pony to ride on. Sigh!

So, anyways, the other day when we went shopping to hide from the heat, I sent DH over to Game Stop while I hit up Target matching my coupons with clearance aisle goodies. My beloved Bullseye Boutique, you are my party salvation! Not only did they have some Transformers party supplies, but they were on clearance! (Woot! There's a party over here! Woot woot! There's a party over there! Woot Woot!)*

So now I'm down to needing cups, balloons and the all important cake topper. Oh, and the dorky party hats. Because if I'm going through all this trouble for a grown man's party, he's posing in the dorky party hat. And I know, I bought treat bags. No, I'm not giving out party favors. I draw the line at that one. LOL I'm sticking his presents in them. ;)

And here's hoping he doesn't check in on my blog for awhile, because I've hidden his party things from sight. I feel like I'm hiding Santa's presents or something. It's a weird feeling. (And every time I post the word party I hear "She's in parties... it's in the can" in my head. Bonus points to anyone reading this who knows what song it is without googling it)

*This is for my SIL's benefit, who is probably the only one who will get it. Well, at least know what it sounds like when us nuts sing it. Because clearly, being psychotic is contagious.

Bwahahaaha I had to read it twice as I thought you were having a party for a five year old boy.....

Good luck with it, my son would be hugely jealous :D

I remember when you commented on my DH's transformers bday party. Those were the exact plates and napkins that I had.
Your party is gonna be hoot!
How old is he turning? lol

LOL Yeah you'd think he was turning 5!

Zombie, I blame you! He saw the party you threw back then and that's how all this started, LOL I need to go back to your post and scope out the cake you ordered if my idea falls through.
