Well, it's not that we aren't already huge Horizon Organic fans over here. ;)
All Horizon Organic products are produced without the use of anti-biotics, pesticides, or added growth hormones. Why should we care? Because all of that added junk is going into our systems. It's bad enough for us as adults, but even worse when kids consume it.
Did you know? Horizon Organic eggs, if stored properly, are still good for about 3 weeks past the date on the carton. Yes, you can take advantage of the mark downs on last-day deals for eggs at the grocery store!
At just 70 calories per large egg, they really are a good source of protein compared to the calories. An egg for breakfast once or twice a week is a great treat! DH loves his scrambled with his toast. Horizon Organic Eggs are perfect for baking too!
If you're just starting to work organic products into your meal planning, Horizon Organic has a great article on their website about 7 Simple Steps to an Organic Lifestyle.
So while Horizon Organic Eggs, like all organic products, is a little more expensive than other eggs, I still like that it's much better for my family to eat. (until I get my own chickens! lol)
