Thrifty Thursday

This week's Thrifty Thursday post is a quick tip.

Whenever you receive car repair and maintenance coupons in the mail, such as the ones from ValPak, don't throw them away! As they arrive in your mailbox, place them in an envelope in your glove compartment. This way they are handy if you need something repaired while you are out, or realize you are way past that oil change. Once a month go through and purge all the ones that have expired.

It could save you $20-30 each repair or tune up! Remember, if you belong to an auto club such as AAA or AARP, you often qualify for discounts just by showing your card. Always ask if a shop offers a discount for you!
