I Am Losing My Mind!

The other day, the pile of laundry was already starting to drive me insane, so I hopped around and decided to do a load of towels. I figured that would be the easiest to get folded and put away afterwards.

Except, I totally forgot I started the load and didn't remember until the following morning. Smooth move. So, I pulled out my Tide with Febreeze added, changed it over to hot water, and figured I'd let it soak until we came back from the grocery store, in hopes it might get the mildew-y smell out.

Yes, I forgot it AGAIN! Guess what's running through my washer for the third day in a row?

(I'm blogging about it in hopes that I'll remember to put it in the dryer this time! LOL)

We have the white hamper system as my MIL calls it (DH learned it from her).

There is one hamper and it's for whites only (sounds a little racist I know).

As for everything else, as soon as we are done in the bathroom, the dirty clothes go straight into the washer.

Then as the next person comes along and fills it, they start the load of wash.

We close the laundry room door (which also contains the trash can, so it's used often), signaling that there is a load that needs to be transferred.

The door stays closed until the clothes have left the dryer.

This way it does not leave it up to one person to do all the laundry.

I realize this may be a little harder to accomplish with a little on. So I would suggest having an extra hamper just for their clothes and washing them between the other loads.

But seriously there is no real reason that the adults in the house can't use this method.

I have done that quite a bit! As much as I hate laundry I should come up with a better system. I kind of like Endure My World's!
