Random Thoughts Tuesday

randomtuesday

Can you see my happiness at receiving a letter that thanks to the lovely economy, our house has dropped in value again? Of course they are SO quick to point out that just because the house has dropped in value, the taxes will not. How lovely.

Speaking of houses, I did find a lovely one back in TX, in the exact area we are looking at, in our price range. Don't hold your breath though, because I am certainly not going to. My BIL popped up online to tell me that the whole family is leaving the 26th to pick us up. I love my in-laws, I truly do - but I am so not packing up and moving in with my parent-in-laws for more than 2 days. I will go from psychotic to institutionally insane within 24 hours. The exact house that I want (no necessarily the one I found), to my specifications, has to be ours with dry ink on the contract before I am moving off my sofa! LOL

And not only did this rotten wind we had the last few days totally rip down one of the old gorgeous vines we had growing up our trellis, it also ripped down half the trellis AND ripped our heavy gate off the hinges completely. I was napping yesterday when I heard the crash. Phish Phooey!!!

My left knee is itching terribly. I know that means it is healing from my fall last week, but I feel like I landed in a pile of poison oak sometimes! My ankle is still a different story. I'm pretty sure I'm not wearing boots to the Mayhem festival next week. I hate not wearing boots to a concert - that means I can actually feel when someone steps on my feet! :(

I think the neighbor is still mad. I got up from my nap yesterday to find the trash can in front of the steps from the patio. I'd like to think it just blew off with the wind too, but it was nestled in a place where the wind wasn't getting to it all day, and by this point, the wind died down. Convenient for it to block the way down the steps, perfectly centered, don't you think?

I'm in the process of cleaning out the deep freezer. Unless it's a killer good deal, I'm trying to use up what's lurking in the bottom before I forget what's in there again. I found a bag of frozen blackberries from before Christmas!

We're currently watching The Closer season 3 from the library. I just cannot imagine teetering around a crime season in the heels like she does, and I love heels. Yes, I know it's TV and for show, but still...

I wouldn't move in with my ILs for even 2 days. Not even 2 hours.

I think I fish in the freezer that my dad caught two years ago!! Yeah, I should probably throw that out. But that takes effort. And I don't like effort.

I have a few things in the big freezer that I am not sure what they are anymore. I guess I should have labeled them.
