Now in the three and a half years since we've been in Washington, I've seen lots of jellyfish, starfish, even a couple of dolphins. But this was my first time to see these guys:
The water was just full of the little crabs walking side to side. (Yes, we are easily amused)
And then we got to see this guy, who oh so nicely posed for me on the way home. Seriously, we stopped the car, and he popped right out while I took the picture. I was sad I didn't have any cookies to share with him. (I used to feed the raccoons back home. I know most people hate them, but I love them!)
I learned something today. Apparently, going to the beach and tiring everyone out is the easiest way to get a 20 minute HOT shower without a single interruption. Bliss!

When we went to a park in Vancouver there were all these tourists taking pictures with the raccoons, and all I could think was "rabies"!

Ooooh, it looks glorious! Look how clear that water is!! And I'm with you--I love sideways walking crabs and raccoons who smile at us. Good to see you having fun!
