Review & Blog Tour: Wendy's Boneless Chicken Wings

Mom Central recently asked me if I wanted to be part of the Wendy's new Boneless Chicken Wings blog tour, and I figured, hey, why not?

Wendy's has introduced their boneless wings in three flavors: Bold Buffalo, Honey BBQ, and Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken, retailing for $3.99 (price may vary at your local Wendy's, of course). I tried the Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken:

It looks yummy, doesn't it? It definitely had a bit of a kick to it, that's for sure. I know it said spicy in the title, but sometimes they tell you something is spicy and you're wondering what they mean. It was also all white meat, but lightly breaded, with sauce. Almost like premium chicken nuggets with sauce. I found it pretty good, but I was wishing for some steamed rice to go with it, not the fries (or salad substitute) that the combo comes with. ;)

I'll be honest that we don't usually spend our fast food dollars at Wendy's. My trip for the review was our first time to eat at Wendy's in well over a year. While we have a Wendy's close by here in Port Orchard, we generally end up eating elsewhere. It's not really that we have anything against Wendy's, we just like someone else's flame grilled burgers... ;) Will I try Wendy's Boneless Chicken Wings again? Yes, I would. I like that it's something different than a sandwich from a fast food place!

And to keep the FTC happy... ;)

i recently tried the sweet and spicy asian ones also and my husband tried the bold buffalo. i really liked the sweet and spicy, but like you it would've been better with some rice. the bold buffalo were a little hot for me but they were also good. i will have to try the bbq next.
