If you're unfamiliar with the Baby Einstein series of products, they are developmentally appropriate products for babies and toddlers. Unlike some series that can come off as silly and pointless, the Baby Einstein series combine poetry, classical music, art, etc with real world objects. I admit I am not fond of infants and toddlers watching much television - however, the Baby Einstein DVDs are one of the few that I don't mind having on in the background here and there. If you're interested, Baby Einstein now has their own YouTube channel, where you can check out some clips from other Baby Einstein titles.

Baby Einstein World Animal Adventure features live animals from around the world, including kangaroos and pandas, with beautiful music inspired by the region the animals are from, as well as silly puppet shows. It also comes with Spanish and French language tracks, as well as allowing you to select a segment of the DVD - so you don't have to watch the 35 minute DVD in it's entirety. This is also one of the new DVDs that comes with Grow With Me, a second viewing mode with added words for your little one to learn.
Of course our family is going to enjoy anything with animals in it, and the music is calming. Baby Einstein World Animal Adventure is out on DVD September 29, 2009. Suggested retail price is $19.99, but I've already seen it available at Amazon for $12.99, so shop around for a deal!
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Baby Einstein and received a World Animal Adventure DVD to facilitate my candid review.”
