Total Drama Island features a bunch of cartoon 16 year old kids sent off to a camp in the Canadian Wilderness. They get to do all sorts of "challenges", and win immunity from being voted off the show and made to walk the dock of shame, never to return again. The prize? $100,000!

The moment we laughed most hysterically over? The most boring sleep inducing activity of them all - The History of Canada. LOL!! I'm obviously not going to tell you who wins - that would ruin the fun - but our family was rooting for Gwen, the goth girl (well, of course!) ;)
Even from an adult's perspective, the two of us who don't want to grow up (lol) enjoyed it. I'd peg this as ages 8-10 and up. Below can easily watch it too, but it's more geared for the older tweens. Very honestly, even though it's a cartoon, there's a lot of gross moments, such as eating bugs, licking another campers armpit, and there are campers "hooking up" with each other... there is also cartoon black out censor spots over body parts in several episodes, such as when Owen is sleep walking in the nude. On TV, the show was rated TV-PG-D. However past that, we thought it was hilarious, making fun of reality shows like Survivor. (My DH was totally glued to it! LOL)
Total Drama Island has 27 episodes under a half hour each, as well as some bonus interviews.
