The Zula Patrol is an animated kids show. It's aimed at kids ages 4-5 to 9, though younger will probably enjoy it as well (some of the science may go over their heads) It teaches about space, the galaxy and our solar system, as well as a bit about earth. It features the characters Bula, Zeeter, Multo, Gorga, Wizzy, and Wigg, as well as others.
The Zula Patrol: Moons Mayhem DVD runs 70 minutes long, and features six different episodes, including "Moon Struck", where kids are taught exactly how unique each moon is, and "Three Ring Gorga", "Moons Mayhem", "Going Through A Phase", "Blue Moon", and "Me, Myself and Io". My personal favorite on the DVD was "Moon Struck".
The Zula Patrol: Animal Adventures in Space! DVD runs 68 minutes long, and features five episodes, including "Larvae or Leave Me", "Egg Hunt", "There Goes the Neighborhood", "Choosing Sides" and "Camp Worm". It also has five sing along Zula songs for your kids to enjoy as a bonus feature.
As a Mom, I loved the learning aspect of this show, and I think most kids love hearing about space, so it's a win-win situation. I will admit that the show grated on my nerves a little - I took the opportunity after a few episodes while it was on to do some cleaning in the kitchen. ;) It is cute though, and they will definitely be a repeat in our family!

My daughter (2yrs) adores Zula, and their theme song sticks in my head (anyone else find themselves humming it while washing dishes?). She seems to particularly like Gorga (the zula pet).
My kids love The Magic School Bus. They watch it every morning before school starts. I love the education value. I actually enjoy watching it with them.
