Giveaway: Chicken Soup For The Pet Lover's Soul

Over the years, I've had a lot of pets come into my life. I admit I'm the worst foster pet parent in the world - once they come into our family, it's pretty much til death do us part. Now we're currently owned by 8 pets - five cats, two corgis, and one crazy bunny. (and a partridge in a pear tree? LOL)


(Like I can resist an excuse to show off kitty cuteness. C'mon!)

Now, I'm pretty sure that you can imagine that the pet food bill pretty much rivals the human grocery food bill around here. One thing I've learned: the better quality the pet food, not only the less food is consumed, but the less health problems the pets will have. I know with the economy the way it is, it's harder to fork out the money for pet food, but in the long run, it will save you money. (if you have cats, you'll notice a difference in the litter box smells!)

One of the Corgis we had in the past, had pretty bad food allergies. On the quest to find a food he did not react to, we came across Chicken Soup For the Pet Lover's Soul. I got a kick out of the name! While it didn't solve his allergy problems (it turned out that his allergies were in layers, and we ended up homecooking for the poor guy), I liked the message behind Chicken Soup, and have recommended it over the years as a quality food.


Chicken Soup For the Pet Lover's Soul makes both dog and cat food, as well as kitten and puppy food, in dry kibble and canned form. It is made with natural ingredients, and while it does have a higher price tag than grocery store pet foods, it is made here in the USA, which after that horrible pet food recall several years ago, is very important to me.
