Thrifty Thursday - One Little Change

This week for my Thrifty Thursday post, I'm encouraging you to make one little change over the next week.

If you usually go out to eat on Fridays, eat somewhere you can use a coupon. If you order out pizza, make your own at home (I have several crust recipes to choose from in my recipes section!)

Maybe turning off the lights when you leave the room would work for you. Or, purchase a Pur or Brita filter, and cut down on the bottled water you drink at home, and just save those bottles for when you are out and about.

Maybe it's buying an extra can or two of veggies on sale, and putting it away so you don't have to pay full price next week.

Or how about menu planning if you don't already? You'd be surprised at the difference in your grocery bill once you do this!

Just pick something, and watch those savings add up!

Menu planning. I used to shop and buy for months...and so much food went to waste. Now I go the grocery store every couple days. I love it...it's my community. And I only shop for what I cook. Good tip...shop with a plan.

I live in Puyallup and my husband got laid off Tuesday. They also terminated his benefits that very day. We were hit hard. Fortunately I have been couponing for a while and have learned the ropes. BUT I could do better at menu planning.
