DVD Review & Giveaway: My Little Pony Twinkle Wish Adventure

I know I talk about it a lot, but I love my 80's! OK, the good parts of the 80's. lol One of my favorites always was the My Little Pony cartoons and toys (along with the Care Bears and Rainbow Brite!), and I was so excited when they started making new shows and toys! Now while the new series looks a little different, they are still just as cute to me, and I'm gleefully snagging up pieces here and there for my daughter to play with too!

My family recently received a copy of the new DVD My Little Pony - Twinkle Wish Adventure to review.

Yep, it was like Christmas in October for ME when that package arrived! LOL Pink overload around here? What pink overload? ;)

My Little Pony - Twinkle Wish Adventure arrives on DVD October 13th, 2009. The animated cartoon features Pinkie Pie and other ponies who can't wait for the Winter Wishes Festival, where the Wishing Star grants each pony one wish. The Wishing Star goes missing at the wrong moment when it's found by Whimsy, a dragon, and it's up to Pinkie Pie and her friends to find it and make the festival happen!

The DVD runs about 81 minutes long, and is not rated, so it's good for everyone (perfect for ages 2-6) with no bad language or violence. It also has bonus features including six sing along songs, a new animated short called Elefun, and several downloadable activities including a coloring page. (I haven't accessed this yet due to my computer issues) It comes with a suggested price of $14.99 - but you know the drill, check around and you should be able to find it cheaper. (It's $8.99 as of right now at Amazon.com!) It will also air on TV, so break out the popcorn and have a fun TV night with your kids too! (I'll let you know the official date as soon as I know)

Win it! One lucky reader will win their own copy of My Little Pony - Twinkle Wish Adventure on DVD, because they sent me a second copy! Yay! To enter, I'd like to know who your kid's (or grandkids) favorite pony is besides the one I mentioned here. If you're a Mom, did you watch MLP too when you were a kid?

As always, you can receive extra entries for:

-Subscribing to my feed or following my blog
-Blogging about this giveaway with a link back
-Tweeting about this giveaway (leave the link or @psychotichouse me)
-Add my blog to your Technorati favs (leave your username)

That's five possible entries! Giveaway ends October 17th at 11:59 PM PST, and please leave your email address in your entry or have it available in your profile. US only, sorry :( Good luck everyone!! :)

My granddaughter's favorite is Locket. No, these little buggers weren't around when I was a child.

It's been a million (okay, at least 20) years since I've seen My Little Pony - thanks for the flashback :)

I would love to share this with my daughter - I have no idea who her favorite would be...

I used to LOVE My Little Ponys when I was a child. I had so many of them. I also liked Rainbow Brite too!

My daughter's don't really have a favorite. My oldest daughter used to play with them when she was younger. She liked them all.
