I know, I had no idea either. Weren't we just celebrating International Cat Day a few months ago?
Well, in honor of this special day, you're stuck looking at a couple of photos from my little cat posse. I'm also going to urge you to do one thing in honor of this day too. Could you click on either of these links here? One is for Free Kat Kibble, where you can donate kitty food to a shelter for just playing their little trivia game each day. The other is The Animal Rescue Site, where a click helps donate food and help for shelter pets (not just cats). Both won't cost you a cent, just a few seconds of your time.
Please remember that with this economy, shelters are struggling as donations are down, and pet surrenders are up - way up. If you can donate food, or your time to volunteer to a local shelter or rescue group, I know they will appreciate it. Maybe you hate cats (what?! lol), you'd rather work with dogs. Or rabbits. Take an hour every couple of weeks and just go visit them!
And just one reminder for fellow black cat (really, all cats) owners: keep your kitties inside over the weekend, just in case. Mean people use this holiday weekend as an excuse to harm our pets.
I was going to share cute Halloween photos of our cats, but no one wanted to pose. Booo! I miss my old man cat, he never turned down the chance the dress up and pose. So I'll leave you with this photo instead:
