Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure is an all-new holiday special featuring everyone's favorite bi-lingual little girl, Dora, and it's taken a parallel to Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol: Swiper the fox tries to steal the Christmas Star from the Nochebuena Party (that would be Christmas Eve, if you didn't already guess), gets busted, and lands on Santa's naughty list. Now Dora must help Swiper get back on the nice list, and they journey to the past, present, and future to learn the true meaning of the Christmas spirit.
As always, this is a typical Dora episode, featuring plenty of instances where your kids can speak a little Spanish back the TV, and learn an important lesson. The story, however, is a little more unique, and the episode shows the uniqueness - traveling to the past and future is definitely not something Dora has ever done before! We loved Dora's traditional dress in the episode, and there's lots of songs your kids can sing along to. It's free of any violence or bad language, and safe for little ones on up until they get bored. (By about 5 boredom should kick in) The DVD is great to kick off the holiday season, or as a stocking stuffer. The full screen DVD runs 52 minutes long, and is not rated, since it's for everyone. The DVD also contains several special features, such as two music videos "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".
Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure is available now and retails for $14.99, but Amazon has it right now for $12.99.

My daughter loves Dora because she and her side kick, Boots, makes an adventure fun by singing, dancing and following a routine. She has learned so much Spanish it is unreal. Once she was on the potty needing help and she was hollering ayúdame! When I get in there she says I was yelling for help in spanish. Also on my birthday she sung me a birthday song in Spanish. LOL I am grateful for Dora.
