Make Your Own Hair Conditioner!
I'm not sure this is entirely frugal if you buy little jars of honey. Now, if you buy the large jug from Costco/Sam's Club, that's a steal at under $10, then the cost isn't so bad.
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix the two together and massage into hair from the ends up, avoiding your roots and scalp. If your hair fits into a shower cap, use that so you can continue your getting ready routine. You'll want to leave it on your hair at least 30 minutes, more if you can find the time. (Much easier for you kid-less ladies, lol) Double this recipe if you have very thick or waist length hair or longer. Rinse well. You can use this before shampooing your hair, but keep in mind much of the conditioning properties may be removed. (If you have extremely fine hair, you probably will have to shampoo afterwards or you may end up a little greasy looking)
and warning: do not hike in the woods with this on your hair. If a bear chases you - RUN! And I am not responsible because I warned you. Bwhahaaa! (Take that, FTC!)

Unless you're goal is to lure the bear into a trap....LOL

I just read something about using things like this as a conditioner and what they said was that it is so hard to get out of your hair that by the time you've managed to wash it all out your hair is dryer than when you started.
Oh no! Don't run--if a bear attacks, aren't you supposed to play dead by curling up into a ball?? NOW the FTC will approve. :)
My great Grandma used to make her own shampoos, conditioners and wax for her chinny chin chin. Thanks for the information. Brought me back a couple of years.
