Random Contests, Promo Codes, & News!

Instead of overwhelming us all with a million and one posts, I'm going to include some of the cool things that have landed in my email box over the last few days!

Kids Eat For is a nifty new application for your iPhone or Android that allows you to see kid menus at restaurants, Yelp reviews, and where kids can eat free. You'll be able to search for locations in the US and Canada, making it great to use while traveling! (I'm wishing I had an iPhone right about now) Here's the link for Seattle area folks to see where kids eat free right now - it's set up like a calender, so it's easy to wade through. Obviously, you can also access the information through your computer, so don't completely write it off if you don't have an iPhone, either.

Gather has several contests up that you can enter right now - including a trip home for the holidays. The winner will receive 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the continental US, as well as money towards transportation costs and a $100 Hallmark gift card! If you like to enter contests, they also have several other ones up right now, including a signed copy of Jet's new album, Bill Engvall's "Aged and Confused" DVD & CD, and my Twilight fans - they're even giving away New Moon tickets! Head on over to Gather to enter.

You may remember my review on Piggy Paint, a non-toxic nail polish for little toes and fingers awhile back. The original promo code in my review has expired, but Piggy Paint has offered me a new one to share with you just in time to stock up for holiday presents, good through Valentine's Day 2010! Use promo code THANKYOU15L to receive 15% off your order at checkout - and there's still free shipping on all orders over $25!

6pm.com is also offering free shipping the entire months of November & December on orders of $100 or more. I know that's a lot to spend, but if you're going to spend it - hey, at least there's free shipping! :) I have to stay away from that site, because they always have killer deals on my weakness, SHOES!

If you're like my family, and your home needs a little help for the holidays (OK, mine just needs a bulldozer I think... lol), Dremel has teamed up with home improvement expert Paul Ryan, the host of “Kitchen Renovations” on DIY Network, to offer quick and easy tips for completing 10 of the most common home repair and remodeling projects – all in 30 minutes or less. (Maybe there's hope for some of the projects around here? It's not like guys can say it takes too long - that's halftime! lol) You can download the free brochure, and while you are on the website, you can also enter to win $2500 by submitting your favorite project idea by December 31st, 2099. (look at the top of the page for the link to the entry form and rules) Good luck if you decide to enter!

Noobie is hosting a giveaway for a new Amazon Kindle*! Pop on over to enter, and to read the rules. *Note that this is a referral link - if you sign up through me, I also have a chance to win a Kindle by getting the most sign ups through the link. I'll love you forever and all that jazz if you go through my link, but you don't have to.)

Redbox is increasing their kids titles even more, so if you haven't check the DVD kiosk recently, you might want to. For just $1 a night, it's cheap entertainment for the whole family! I love Redbox!!
