Be still my heart - Slayer will be kicking off their new tour here in Seattle in January! Guess who's having date night? The weather had better not be bad, or I will flip my lid!
Every single window and leak that we fixed is back to leaking. I've got towels on just about every window now, except the one bedroom and one in the kitchen. No, I am not joking. There is absolutely NO help for this house. I keep trying to remind myself that this is a lot better than living out of the car again, but it still doesn't make me happy. The sad part is I could even win HGTV's Dream Home, and we'd have Murphy's Law kick in there too. We just cannot win!
I am also not happy that our garbage and recycling bill jumped up $8. What made me angriest is the note included in the higher bill telling us that since they aren't making so much money off our recycling due to the recession, they are raising the bill. Um, excuse me, but if you are making money off my recyclables, shouldn't YOU be paying ME, not the other way around? Does this seem wrong to anyone else? At least the drop off points are free? I'd cancel it, but by law apparently we are forced in the Port Orchard area to pay for recycling if we are also getting garbage pick up. I'd cancel both and go to the dump, but it's a matter of storing it before we get enough to justify the $11 drop off fee. Grrrr!
I bought some Chocolate Almond Klondikes at Grocery Outlet this past weekend and I'm totally disappointed. What a waste of chocolate!
Yesterday we bought yet another turkey. DH said there was no way it would fit into the freezer, I told him where there is a will, there is a way. My freezer is officially stuffed. We could loose power for 3 days, and it's so packed in there it would still be frozen solid by the end of those 3 days. LOL
Thou shall not covet - another woman's coupon stockpile? Seriously, when I look at some of y'all's blogs who have CVS goodies posted, I drool. It is so not fair that we don't get to partake in the CVS bounty here in WA! I can't even partake in it back in TX, because the nearest CVS is four hours away up in San Antonio. Sniffle! At least I get to live vicariously through your deals?
I am totally both sad and disgusted that not only the checkout clerk, but my bagger at Safeway this past week should have been home enjoying retirement. Both were definitely over 70 and should be going out fishing, not working 8 hour days. Recession over? Um, no, not even close.
I really, really want to see 2012.
I am partaking in freshly baked chocolate brownie goodness. I'm sure it will be reflected on the Wii Fit tomorrow. Do I care? Nope! Chocolate is heavenly!
*sniff* I smell peppermint - I guess the doughboy is out of the shower. ;)

Oh I miss concerts. It's been so long.
We are big on the See's chocolate. My hubby is the conasure (sp) of chocolate, so I can't get away with the other stuff.
I know other peoples coupons are awesome. I just don't have anyone to give me Sunday papers and I can't bring myself to buy 10. But their CVS savings does rock... Speaking of I need to do some coupon filing. UGH
You covet coupons! Now that's funny!
Oh, don't feel bad for your senior bagger at the store--it is good for them to get out and about staying young. I'd rather see my mom working a part-time job, talking to people, feeling useful, and getting out than sitting in her house talking to her cats and wondering what her neighbors are doing.
My deep love for coupons has now rubbed off on my hubby; he's printing a bunch from online now. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but at least I'll have some awesome coupons for my next grocery trip...
I heart Slayer and because you do, too, you are my bestest friend. ;o)
Our windows don't leak but our basement does. Yikes! Yeah. DH is down there with the mops, towels, and shop vac when it rains. Yes, even at 2am. LOL!
We pay $18 every three months for our recycling. I agree that they should be paying us. Srlsy!
It's like I say, everything in moderation. I just made cookies, then I worked out!
CRAZY!!! My parents just moved to Port Orchard this summer!!!
