Review & Giveaway: CharcoCaps

Did you know the average person passes gas 14 times a day? Not us, right? ;)

I recently received a box of CharcoCaps to review. Of course you know I passed these right over to Toxic Man himself to test out. (I know, I know, I torture the poor guy. It's all in good fun.)

CharcoCaps are a homeopathic antigas formula that helps provide natural relief of intestinal gas pain, ppressure, cramping, and bloating. You just take two capsules with any meal you know will give you issues, or at the first sign of issues. CharcoCaps actually uses pure activated charcoal to absorb the gas - not the kind that you grill with LOL. The charcoal has been treated with steam so it opens up little pores, which is what absorbs the gas. Their weird fact: a spoonful of activated carbon has the same surface area as a football field. (Your trivia for the day!)

So the first test was when he had chilli for lunch. Granted, I didn't have to deal with the effects since he was leaving for work right after lunch, but he said it seemed to work really well. (I'm sure his co-workers thanked me for making him try it LOL) He's also tried it with several other meals that have a tendency to make him clear the room (if he reads this post, he's going to hate me LOL!!) and I have to say, it really did seem to work. So I will definitely be keeping CharcoCaps on hand in our home!

If you travel a lot, CharcoCaps might help with some of the bloat, especially while you are in the air when flying.

I do want to warn you that there is a small warning not to take any other medication or vitamin with CharcoCaps, as it can also absorb it when it's absorbing other stuff. (I would hate for someone to fall ill because their life saving medication wasn't working right!!)

If you visit CharcoCaps website, you can take a small quiz on Gas Etiquette and enter to win a $100 pre-paid gas card! If you win, you can even choose which gas station you want the card too. (I think that's awesome, because we all know certain gas stations are more expensive than others in some areas!)

CharcoCaps retail for around $6.99 for a 36 count box, and your purchase it at places like WalMart, Target, etc. as well as drug stores and most large grocery stores.

Win it! One lucky reader will win a reprieve from their smelly spouse/family member (or maybe you might want to gift it to a co-worker? LOL!) To enter, tell me what foods you avoid (or try to make your spouse avoid) when you're in close contact with others. If you're feeling frisky, I'll give you a second entry if you tell us what you do if you know you have to pass gas NOW - do you run straight to the bathroom? Outside? Or let it rip without a care in the world? LOL (Hey, this is a confession blog - confess away!)

As always, you can receive extra entries for:

-Subscribing to my feed or following my blog
-Blogging about this giveaway with a link back
-Tweeting about this giveaway (leave the link or @psychotichouse me)

That's five (5) possible entries! Giveaway ends November 14th at 11:59 PM PST, and please leave your email address in your entry or have it available in your profile. US only, sorry :( Good luck everyone!! :)
