Review: Petprojekt Chewbies Dog Toys

With the holidays coming up, most pet owners tend to gift their pets with a little something special, so they don't feel left out. Pudgy always had her stocking filled with yummy goodies. We would have loved to include toys in her stocking, but girlfriend was all about food and I can count on one hand the amount of times I ever saw her play with anything.

Now these two stinkers are a completely different story. They LOVE toys! We've made the rounds up and down the big pet superstores, as well as some of the smaller boutique ones, and I have to say, it's been rather, well, boring. I see the same old, same old. The most exciting toy they've had was their Wubba Wubba they were gifted with. (Every time I throw that off the bed in the mornings, it magically ends up back on the bed by bedtime! lol)

When I saw the Chewbies toys from Petprojekt, I finally found toys a little more unique! They come in fun, bright colors, and have the best of both toy worlds - soft squeaky rubber and a plush bushy tail! I knew they were the perfect toy to share with you as a gift for your dogs!

We were sent the Chewbies Green Bunny to review.

Being as the Grumpy Princess was recently gifted with a toy, Psychotic Corgi Boy got this one. He was all excited - he ran off to play with it. (please pardon the puddle of drool - just before FedEx arrived, he had been chomping on a chewie treat, and remember he's now missing a bunch of teeth, so he drools a lot with them lol)

The second his corgi ADD kicked in, Grumpy Princess went and stole it from him! This went on all afternoon, lol. Usually the fun wears off with their new toys and they'll set it aside til the next day. This has not been the case with their Chewbie Bunny - if they are awake, someone's playing with it!

Guess who's placing an order for a second Chewbie? Also available is a raccoon and kitty kat Chewbie! All styles of Chewbies retail for $12 each - a little high for those used to buying at WalMart/Target, but for those who also shop pet boutiques, it's in the normal price range. They are non-toxic - BPA free!, and good for all sizes of dogs - my corgi's are standard size and it seems just perfect for them. I'm thinking those with the big dogs over 100 pounds might see it destroyed a lot faster - it's not indestructible, though after a few days of them playing with it, besides the drenched tail (lol) it looks the same as when it arrived. Those ears were taking a chewing beating!

Petprojekt also carries other fun toys for your dogs, as well as accessories and feeding bowls and mats.

(As I am posting this, there's a corgi asleep with his head on top of his Chewbie! LOL)

What is the fascination with these?? Is it the fluffy tail or the chewy ears?? I don't get it. But I also don't get how much fun a milk ring can be for the cats either. Whatever.

Lin, I think it's the combo - one second they are chomping on the ears like there is no tomorrow, they next they are trying to rip that tail out. lol

I don't get the milk ring either - one day I will learn to stop spending money on toys for the cats and just let them cup up with their own fun.
