Review & Giveaway: Subway

With the hustle and bustle this holiday season, sometimes it's really hard to eat right. While I talk about having dinner prepared ahead of time with your slow cooker or in the freezer, ready to go in your oven, sometimes that just doesn't work when you are out all day and need lunch!

I was contacted on Subway's behalf and asked to do a review and host an awesome giveaway for you, my lovely readers! I am all about value, and Subway's $5 footlong choices definitely provide value. (Though, I am still sulking that all our local Subways have taken the Tuna sub off the $5 menu - wah!) I can pick up a foot long and get two meals out of it, plus they are one of the few fast food places that has a decent vegetarian choice in their Veggie Sub. Subway currently also has several new Subway "Melts", including the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and a Chicken Marinara sub.


I ended up ordering the Oven Roasted Chicken Breast off the $5 menu, because let's face it, most of us order off the value menu anyways. I almost went with the Chicken Marinara because it was also $5, but I was craving the veggies - I ended up with all of them on it except the jalapenos (We were out and about and I was worried about heartburn, or I would have gobbled them up!) It was so stuffed with veggies by the time she was done, it was practically falling apart:


My DH ordered the Black Forest Ham sub and took it to work (or I'd have a picture of that one for you) and he enjoyed it. Like me, he added a lot of veggies on it - except he ate it in one sitting! Men! lol
