DVD Review & Giveaway: Bakugan: Time For Battle Volume 6

My family and I were recently sent Bakugan: Time For Battle Volume 6 on DVD to review.


In the vein of shows such as Dragonball Z and Pokemon, the Bakugan anime series airs on Cartoon Network. The Bakugan are action figure warriors that come to life when the spheres they are in end up (or roll on) a game card, hence the whole battle part. Much like the Pokemon games, kids can participate in battles using the cards and Bakugan they've collected! There's a whole Bakugan world worth of toys, including video games, to go along with it.

Bakugan: Time For Battle Volume 6 features five episodes: Drago's On Fire, Say It Ain't So Joe, The Secret of Success, Trust Me, Doom Dimension Or Bust. (Episodes #22-#26 in the series) The full screen DVD runs 111 minutes long, and was released on January 19th with a suggested retail price of $14.99. (Amazon has it for $14.98) There's no bad language in it, but it does feature some cartoon violence, and the show itself is rated TVY7-FV. It definitely appeals more to boys than girls, and is best for the 5-6 and up crowd. (and probably not to most Moms - I was totally lost on this one, lol)
