CD Review: Celtic Woman Songs From The Heart (Giveaway!)

I was all excited when I found out I was going to get to review Celtic Woman's new CD, Songs From The Heart.

I love, love, LOOOOVVVEEE Celtic music, and anything with an Irish Flute makes me weak in the knees. If you're unfamiliar with Celtic Woman, it's actually a group of 5 female singers, all from Ireland. Their voices are incredible! (Yes, this Goth girl loves their music!) It's actually funny, because the day I found out my copy was on the way, DH came home from work saying he saw a commercial for the new CD on the TV and wanted to know if I had actually wishlisted it from Amazon.

Songs From The Heart actually features several "cover" songs, including Sting's "Fields of Gold", and of course, traditional Celtic songs. My favorite, by far, is their version of "Amazing Grace". It gives me goosebumps! Here's the complete track list:

1. Fields Of Gold
2. Amazing Grace
3. Níl Sé'n Lá
4. My Lagan Love
5. When You Believe
6. The New Ground
7. Isle Of Hope, Isle Of Tears
8. The Coast Of Galiçia
9. Non C'è Più
10. The Moon's A Harsh Mistress
11. You'll Be In My Heart
12. Goodnight My Angel
13. Galway Bay
14. The Lost Rose Fantasia
15. O, America!

Songs From The Heart is available wherever music is sold. Amazon currently has it for $12.99 as of this posting.

Win it! I am very excited that I get to give one lucky reader a copy of the new Celtic Woman Songs from the Heart LIVE CONCERT DVD. I'm pretty jealous of the winner here! :) To enter, tell me what your favorite Celtic Woman song is, or what you think of the music. Do you love Celtic music like me?

These are the most amazing women I've ever heard sing, and play. Their voices are like what I would imagine angels would sound like. The 1st time I had the pleasure of listening to them on TV the youngest one was only 14! I couldn't believe the sound that came out of that child's. Whether I win this or not, together as a group or alone, they are my favorite.

NOOOOOOO! I hate to say it, Storm, these gals just aren't my cup 'o tea. I think it's an ethnic thing--I don't like Irish dancing either. Am I going to be struck down by a bolt of lightning??

Although I tend to love rock, my husband is an elevator music kind of guy. We rarely agree, but we both really love Celtic Woman. We have several of their CDs and have watched all of the specials. We love their version of "O America".

Like you I love Celtic music, of all the different varieties. I'm curious about the song about the Coast of Galicia, since that's one of my favorites, and their music is very hard to find. Thanks.
