Do You See We?
Sooo I was wasting time on Yahoooooooo (can you hear me say it? LOL) the other night, and I came across this blurb via LiveScience that basically says couples who say "we" fare better in fights.
Go on, read it. I'll be waiting here when you get back. ;)
"We" say "we" over here. It's usually "ours", "us", etc, even though I know it drives people crazy. (Come to think of it, I think we even said it already before we were married, lol) About the only time I know I don't usually say "ours" is when it comes to the kitchen - the kitchen is MY domain, lol.
So I'm curious: for my married folks- do you say "we" "our" etc a lot? Or do you find yourself saying "me" "I" "you" "His/hers" a lot?
And to go a little further, do you feel it gives you an identity crisis sometimes?
(My DH and I are a lot alike, so it doesn't seem to be an identity crisis over here.)

Uh, I never really thought about it. I think I'm more of a "me" "you" kinda gal. Depends on what we are talking about. (Oh, I said "we"!) :)
Not married, can't marry in IL.
My partner and I usually say "we" and "our", but there are times when I ask one of "our" (my biological, but I respectfully say "our" because she helps raise them) children to get something from "our" bedroom I will sometimes say 'my' bedroom instead of 'Anastasia's and my bedroom. It's just longer to say and I'm not saying 'my' out of disrespect, but someone always calls me out on it. And I am asking for 'my' sweater or whatever.
Doesn't bother me.
We are a "we" couple...everything is "ours" and "us" and it works really well for us.
We say "we" and "ours" and "us." We love it. That's just how we are. No identity crisis here. We're married, he's stuck with me. I'm stuck with him. LOL
We're the "we/our" couple. I've noticed other couples say "I/mine" and it really sticks out to us (notice I said "us" not me)!
We are not a "we" couple. Like he's trying to tell me the coins he is collecting is ours. No, no it's not. I have no interest in it, and well I see it more as our kids since he's collecting it for them.
And my Kindle is MINE! Haha.
Maybe it's an age difference on our part? 9 years difference and we met when I was 20, so maybe it's a youth thing too...
What's mine in mine, and what's his is mine!! LOL
No but seriously we've been together for 19 years (almost half my life!) so our lives, our belongings, our memories are so intertwined now that we are definitely "WE"!! :)
We are a "we" couple except for two things "my kitchen" and "his shop". We know people that are mine and yours about everything even money and can't understand it.
