Folks, it's not that I don't love Disney, but somehow, this seems way too wrong:
Disney Invites 'Goths' to the Party
I may call myself "goth", but when Disney starts using the term? I feel like an old school black & white movie vampire caught in the sunlight! (none of this "sparkle" junk for me! I blame the whole Hot Topic - Twilight craze for this one!)
I was looking forward to the new Alice in Wonderland movie - not so much now.
You know what leaves the worst taste in my mouth? The morons probably behind this campaign are the SAME people who tormented real "goths" in school.
This GOTH is not happy and won't be attending your "party". I will not buy a single piece of merchandise associated with this movie. In fact, I have a Doc Marten boot that would like to get very well acquainted with the PR marketing department(s) who came up with this offensive campaign idea....

*snort* too funny. I didn't realize that Alice in Wonderland was a Goth movie anyway.
I made fun of a few goths, but I also had a couple as close friends. Our high school was a little weird though - everyone had friends in every "clique". =)
It does seem odd to associate Disney with Goth. ROFL Winnie the Pooh dressed in all black. hee hee

I can't wait for the movie, and as a prior "goth" (I just REALLLLLLYYYY hate that word for some reason), I don't see much wrong with it. OH and go google "winnie the pooh satan worship" and watch the you tube on that! : ) I LOVEEEEEEEE that!! hehehe!
I'm a goth, or used to be. But I do not gravitate towards sparkly things. I boycott Twlight because of all the hype it's gotten. I do not like things that create mass hysteria. Like Elvis, The Beatles, Madonna. I may be weird but I just hate them!
I'm looking forward to Alice though. Because Johnny Depp is the MAN when it comes to odd characters and I just love the movie anyways. Alison=Alice! Actually I think Alison means son of Alice so there! It's me in movie form!

A long time ago I learned that just because something has Disney written on it, it doesn't necessarily mean it is good. Folks are sheeple and don't think for themselves--you have to evaluate EVERYTHING to see if it is for you. Good for you in saying "no" to something that comes your way because of what you stand for. Yea!
I have to highly endorse Bats Day. I performed there for its' 10th anniversary, and it's an awesome goth party in the happiest place on earth. Of course, it's not sponsored by Disney, merely tolerated, but still. Awesomesauce.
