How About Random Thursday Thoughts Instead?

OK, so I was waiting at 8:30 this morning for the Fed EX person to be by, since apparently I missed them yesterday and something needed signed for. Usually they have already been by before we are up for the day (keep in mind our different hours over here, folks), but nooo, today they come by at noon. That's 3 and a half hours of staying around the front part of the house so I don't miss them again.

All for a DVD. *pounds head*

Yes, I missed Random Tuesday Thoughts, so today it's Random Thursday Thoughts. Just a few letters different. You can pretend it's still Tuesday if that makes you feel better? I missed Thrift Store Tuesday too. I totally forgot it was Tuesday, I thought it was Monday all day long on Tuesday. And I didn't blog yesterday, either. Wow, I just know I am going to win Blogger of the Year over here...

Sigh. I'm sorry. I'm sure my zombie-like posts wouldn't have been a bowl of cherries to read, anyways. (But you still love me, right?) This momma needs a vacation, stat. Preferably someplace warm, and sunny!

Dear Neighbor, if your dog doesn't come out of my yard on his own after one whole minute of calling his name and trying to bribe him, he's not going to come out on his own. Take your dog to obedience school NOW, and be thankful I'm an animal lover, and not calling animal services on you.

It's a rotten little barking dog. Saturday I woke up with one nasty migraine, and it kept barking. And barking.

Why is it my rescued two can figure out quickly how to behave, and this one that I know they've had since we moved in here over two years ago can't? Oh yeah, lazy owners. And Captain has the worst case of doggy ADHD I've seen in a corgi, ever, and yet he still listens better than this dog.

Grrr!

I just had to get that out of my way. ;)

Sooo... what did we do yesterday? I made DH take down these rotten built in blinds in the front living room facing the streets. I hated the darn things. (We have almost floor to ceiling windows in the front there that take up 2/3rds of the wall) Not only did they annoy me because they were plastic and white - talk about a double whammy - they were broken anyways (from before we moved in), so they never actually opened and closed properly. Talk about an AMAZING difference! It only should make a couple of inches, if that, difference, but it feels like we gained a foot. Then the next part was trying to come up with a non-ghetto way of covering the windows so the whole street doesn't see us in our pjs watching TV.

I'm not sure we succeeded in making it completely non ghetto, but it works for now. And now I have an excuse to stalk Goodwill for curtains! :)

Now to only fix the rest of the room. LOL DH is taking a bit of vacation time next month for our anniversary, guess who's going to have one heck of a Fix It list? ;)
