Backyardigans: Escape From The Tower features the five favorite animated neighbors who meet in their backyards, transforming via imagination for fun adventures. This DVD has three episodes, including "Break Out" (the tower episode), "For The Love Of Socks", "Los Galacticos" and (which features the Backyardigans as a Mariachi band who end up in outer space - LOL!!!). I actually didn't know that the Backyardigans are an Emmy Award winner! The episodes on the DVD are fun, and lively, with lots of music and dancing. I know there's a whole anti-princess thing with some folks, but we love Princesses here. It was funny to watch a magical compact mirror help get them out of the tower in the "Break Out" episode - can I get ME one of those, please? ;)
The DVD also contains a bonus episode from the new series The Fresh Beat Band "Rock the Luau", which as you probably guessed, has a Hawaiian theme going. Break out the grass skirts for this one! :) It's never been seen before, so you'll get a first look with this DVD.
Backyardigans: Escape From The Towerruns 95 minutes long, including the bonus episode. It's not rated (great for pre-schoolers, older kids will scream Baby!), contains no bad language or violence (this being Nick Jr, I'm sure you knew that), and is full screen edition. It will be available on DVD this Tuesday, March 30th 2010, with a suggested retail price of $16.99. (Amazon has it on pre-order for just $13.49 as of this posting)
