DVD Review: The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris

I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline, I may be very small, I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline, but inside I'm tall!

My family and I recently received a copy of the new Madeline DVD, The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris.

Over here, Madeline comes in a close second behind Owa (Dora). I snatch up everything I can find with Madeline for our daughter, so I was super excited to hear that a new animated movie was coming out! (I can totally live without live action on this series)

The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris is inspired by the classic books, and just like the TV series. Madeline's long lost Uncle Henri from Vienna (voiced by Jason Alexander, of Seinfeld fame) appears for a surprise visit, but his intentions aren't what they seem after he takes her away from the orphanage. Madeline uses her courage, and lots of help from her friends, as well as Genevieve and Miss Clavel, to help stop her Uncle from a dastardly plan!

As with all Madeline stories, this movie delivers in that this little girl can do anything she puts her mind to! If you'd like to watch a short clip from the movie, click here for a windows media view.

The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris will be released on DVD on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010, and runs 75 minutes long. It is full screen edition, and rated G - it's best for ages 3-5, older kids will probably be bored. There is no violence or bad language to be worried about. The suggested retail price is $14.99, but Amazon has it for just $13.49 on pre-order.

I received a copy of the DVD to write a review. Link(s) included are for your convenience - they are not referral links.
