Go Diego, Go! The Great Panda Adventure features four fun new to DVD animated episodes from Dora's (owa!) cousin and animal loving counterpart, Diego: "All Aboard The Giant Panda Express", "Koala's Birthday Hug", "Leaping Lemurs", and "Diego Saves the Beavers". In the main episode, "All Aboard The Giant Panda Express", Diego and Baby Jaguar need your help while they are in China to find panda bears, and take them on the train to their new home. If you have kids who fell in love with the lemurs in Madagascar, they'll probably enjoy the "Leaping Lemurs" episode.
As usual, all the episodes stay true to the usual Dora and Diego fare: help them save an animal, your kids can talk back to the screen, and peppered with a few words of Spanish. The interactiveness is what makes the show, and the cuteness factor is definitely there, especially on the panda episode. (C'mon, panda bears are adorable!)
Go Diego, Go! The Great Panda Adventure also contains a bonus: two new music videos from The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's newest offering. You'll hear "Great Day" and "Loco Legs". Eh... one viewing is enough for this mom. ;)
Go Diego, Go! The Great Panda Adventure hits the streets tomorrow, May 4th, 2010. It's full screen format, and is not rated - as with all the Dora and Diego DVDs, those over the age of 4-5 will probably get bored, fast. The total running time of the DVD is 95 minutes long, and the suggested retail price is $16.99 - though Amazon has it for just $12.99 on pre-order as of this posting.
I received a copy of the DVD above to write a review. All links included are for your convenience, they are not referral links.
