The Port Orchard Farmer's Market was going on, so we walked around and saw some of the great handmade things folks had for sale, as well as lots of plants and local foods. It's a bit early in the season for fresh veggies and fruit, but there was still lots of folks there:
And the Seagull Wings Cook-Off Contest as part of the festival was the most popular booth there, let me tell you. They were lining up! and they were a steal too, at just 25 cents per wing.
DH would have to be on his deathbed not to take advantage of that! They look good, don't they?
The amateurs actually beat out all the local restaurants, including his choice for the winner, Amy's On The Bay. DH said their wings were perfect tangy, with a hint of orange.
I'm glad to see that for the last day of the festival, it's sunny out right now for those who are down there.

Um, what is a seagull wing?? They aren't really seagull's wings are they??
Lin: They are just chicken wings. No seagulls were harmed for this festival - well, I think. DH said they tasted just like chicken. lol ;)
Looks like a great festival!
Thank you so much for your comment about your beloved Pudgy - it really helps to know others understand. I was worried I might get called crazy.
Sorry you are still sad. I know that if we hadn't loved them so much it wouldn't hurt so much.
How fun! DH and I tried to go to a tall ships festival once in California but when we got there it was already over =(.
