Matt Green left his job, and he's now walking throughout the country, for no reason at all - just to see the country. He left from Rockaway Beach, south of New York's Kennedy Airport, and his goal is to make it to Rockaway Beach in Oregon. (Neat, huh?) He has a little "cart" that he designed himself that carries his tent and some other supplies, and that's it. No need for anything extra. You can check out his website at I'm Just Walkin'. If you can't tell, I'm wallowing in jealousy over here. I love to walk, I love to travel - it sounds like so much FUN! I miss the days of just grabbing my trail pack and going somewhere.
Would you drop everything and do a journey like that?

I'd probably last 10 miles and call it quits. Rather ride the train across the country.
Wish I could! With two kids in school it's kind of hard to just drop everything to do something like that. I am thinking about doing the Boston Marathon next year, have to start training soon.
