This is my 2000th post! Y'all have been reading my rants and such for over 3 years now! I love getting comments on here, and I appreciate every word of advice and encouragement I've gotten from you wonderful folks every time another disaster has occurred. THANK YOU!
I wanted to do a little something in honor of this post, and I wanted it to be more personal than just a gift card... so I thought about it, and when I saw this book the other day, not only did I grab one for myself - but I grabbed one for this! I do realize it's not up everyone's alley... sorry about that. I wanted to do something different than what everyone gives away, something that would fit the crafty or cooking and frugal vein that my blog hovers in, and something well, that will remind you of my blog! LOL
So what is it?
*drumroll* Get crafty ladies, up for grabs is a copy of Punk Knits by Share Ross. (Amazon link here if you want a better idea of what's in the book)

It contains "26 new designs for anarchistic souls and independent spirits". Even if you only have basic knitting skills, there are projects in here that you should be able to do (as long as you already have the grasp of knitting - I'll tell ya from what I've noticed, if you've never knitted before, start with something else to get into the groove before you start one of these, the instructions are for those who already know how to knit - they aren't really stitch by stitch if that makes sense), as well as more advanced projects (perfect for those who are WAY better knitters than me, LOL) There are accessories, sweaters, scarfs... (My fellow 80s fans may recognize Share's name - she was in the band Vixen) While some of the projects could be changed around a bit, if you're not into the punk/goth/rock scene, the book and projects probably aren't for you - keep this in mind. Most of the clothing projects contain purposely done drop stitches to make holes in the garment.
Since I'm doing the giveaway, I'm willing to send this to the winner wherever they live - but I just ask you only enter if you're truly interested in the book, not because you just want to win something. (Since a book isn't exactly cheap to send out of the country!)
So, to enter, promise me you'll hang around my blog for the next 2000 posts - LOL! Just kidding. :) You can tell me anything, what you want to see on my blog, your current crafty project, etc, anything that's not in the vein of just "enter me" or "sign me up" - because those comments make me want to claw someone's eyes out.... or force them to listen to Michael Bolton over and over again for the rest of their life! LOL! ;) I'll give you a second entry if you're a follower of my blog or a subscriber - because you folks rock! :)
Giveaway ends May 22nd.
Just to make the FTC happy, the item mentioned in this blog was bought by me, and the giveaway is out of my own pocket. I also own the same book.

OHMYGOSH! I would love that book! I am so tired of the same old same old knitting books with the same stuff in them! I am ready for something new!
And I follow your blog!
2000! Congratulations, that is totally awesome! I've been following your blog for some time now and you can be sure that I will continue to do so, even without the threat of Michael Bolton :)
Congratulations again!
Movie idea: Michael Bolton on Zombie Island
Congrats on your 2000th post!!! That is fabulous.
Congratulations on 2000 posts, Storm, that's insane! You do not need to enter me in the giveaway, I just really wanted to applaud you. :)
Congrats on 2000! I would love to read this book.

Congrats on 2000 post! That's awesome!
If, by some strange twist of fate, you choose my comment, I don't actually want the book. Not quite my thing, and knitting is at the bottom of a long list of crafts I want to indulge in. I'm hung up on card making right now. Someday I'll knit, but not now. Even though I want you to choose someone else who'd really love the book, I wanted to congratulate you on 2000 posts and tell you I enjoy reading your musings. Strangely, we don't have much in common. Goth isn't my thing, I'm way older than you, I don't like dogs, other than cute pictures of them, I don't have a Fred M near me, but somehow enough of what you say resonates with me to keep me coming back. I was thinking the other day how addictive blogs are, and how it connects me with women all over the country who lead vastly different lives than me. The diversity is fascinating, but I also feel we all connect on some level. I appreciate that you like the advice we commenters dole out. Sometimes I kick myself after commenting on something. My wish is to pass on a perspective of life that comes with having been there, done that for too many years. But then I think, maybe you might be rolling your eyes and shaking your head at my comments. Whether you agree with me or not, it's meant with the best of intentions. Ok, I do like to enter the giveaways, too. Funny thing is, I've entered dozens of them and only won once. And I never actually received the gift I won. Sigh. So that's why I think it would be a strange twist of fate if I won this. Hope we get to see what you make from the book.
My son would be so excited to get this. I taught him to knit because he has difficulty using his hands. There aren't many knitting books with projects for his age.

2000 posts is very impressive. Looking forward to another 2000. Thanks for this contest because my teen daughter knits and this would be right up her alley.
I always go to the craft section and browse books like these! I'd love to have since I love trying new crafts and hobbies, and Im only 21 so most of the knitting books are not fun for me.
