OK, Now I Am An Angry Mami!

Really, spitting angry! Someone stole over $20K worth of children's books from our local library. No, that's not a typo - $22,900 worth of books to exact.

What kind of a heartless loser steals books from a library? Oh yeah, someone without a conscious who is selling them on eBay. *snarls*

This is just unfathomable! What goes through these people's minds! Hopefully they get hit by lightning while unloading their truck! Harsh I know but it really gets my knickers in a knot to hear these things!

That is pretty low. Library budgets are tight enough these days without people thieving from them. Since a blog is a public forum I'll refrain from calling these idiots any creative names, but guaranteed there's a special circle of Hell reserved for low lifes who would steal from those who can least afford it. Slime.

Wow...that is low. Although a bit funny to me in my sick sense of humor. Of all things to steal - books. I just find that odd and funny in a non haha way.

OK I agree with cat is it funny in a sick sense of humor way. Kind of like how Kotex now has the boxes black with neon colors to really stand out.
Hope they can at least read and that they return the books!

OMG that's just sick....my mother is a retired librarian and for years there have been budget cutbacks, reductions in staffing/hours of operation, etc...how ridiculously selfish can anyone be?

That is devastating. The library's already have a hard time with things. All the budget cuts and all.I just hope they get caught.

Maybe you could get the story covered on one of the talk shows like Oprah or Ellen and people might donate money to replace the books. That is low!

What are libraries going to have to do now? Tracking GPS chips hidden in the bindings?
I have my expensive guard dog/ family pet chipped just in case someone wants to steal him. They aren't getting my dog without us using the GPS tracking service to find him. He's special to us.
Books are special too, so this scum bag needs to give the books back and take the punishment they deserve. I'm just wondering if it was an inside job by a disgruntled employee though, because that's a great deal of books to get out of a library without getting caught.
