Beyond Madness!

Really, I'm not psychotic. No, really, I must be completely SANE. I must, I must, I MUST, because people out there are MAD:

I dress some of my pets up from time to time, but painting designs on my pets and dying their fur? Hello, toxic chemicals on a tiny body! And the fact that TLC has a show about it? Even more disturbing. Learning channel, my rear end. Those poor pets!

Not that I'm condoning this insane crap but I hear that the dye they use is vegetable based.

I think it's ridiculous to dye an animal's coat. It infuriates me to no end, but I don't think they use the same kind of hair dye they use on people...I could be wrong though.

I didn't even know they had a show about it, but with TLC's current line up I wouldn't be surprised.

Wasteful as far as I'm concerned.
The money they spend on having their pets done up this way could be donated to a rescue shelter just to help feed and vaccinate animals that need it.
My min pin has one coat thing, but for warmth in the winter when we take him for walks, not for some fashion statement.

We have never seen the TLC show, but my wife and I did watch the feature on it on ABC's Nightline the other night, and we are both still in shock. For neither one of us had any idea that this was being done to those puppies. No, we cannot believe that they love it as much as their masters insist.

WHAT?! And the poor little guy with the mohawk.. I think they are fine on humans (well, the ones that can pull them off) but like that little dog wants to be a rockstar? Come on!

I'm with you--this is horrific! Who shaves their cat???! People are idiots.

Okay I'm still laughing. I would never do this to my dogs but I have friends that would if the dye was safe and wouldn't harm them. I guess I'll just have to check out that show. Some people can be so creative in such a weird way. Maybe they should try their skills on canvas.
