The Backyardigans: Operation Elephant Drop features four new to DVD animated episodes from the hit Nickelodeon show: "Elephant on the Run", "The Magic Skateboard", "The Flipper!", and "Super Team Awesome!". If you're new to the show, it features five neighbors - Tasha, Tyrone, Pablo, Uniqua, and Austin - who meet in their backgrounds, and each episode has a different music theme. These episodes include alternative rock, forro, Bo-Diddley Style Rock, and American Country Rock. Imagination is the name of the game with this series!
In the title episode, Tasha is a park ranger who needs Special Delivery Agents Tyrone and Pablo to help get an endangered Indian elephant to a safe sanctuary, all while avoiding bad guys. This is the episode that features Alternative as the music genre. It's a cute episode - but I think my DH is waiting for them to introduce death metal to the kids so our daughter isn't the only one listening to it with us. LOL!
The Backyardigans: Operation Elephant Drop will be released this Tuesday, July 13th. It runs 95 minutes long, is full screen edition, and has no bonus features. It not rated, but those over the age of 4 will get bored - it's meant for the preschool crowd. The suggested retail price is $16.99, but Amazon has it available on pre-order as of this posting for $14.99.
