It is going to be a good day. I can feel it! I will get everything done that I need to - in between the word of the week, NO! NO MAMMA! - and I'm sorry if I fill up your feedreaders, but I have some fun things to share with you, including an exclusive code for a very big national sweepstakes!
My house though, is in a complete state of disarray from my smooth idea of switching everything around. DH very happily skipped out the door this morning to work a double shift. I think he was tired of the let's put this here... no... it doesn't look right... put it back over here and let's stare at this puzzle and figure out the right way... I made DH get rid of a pile o' junk too. Little things that add to our clutter and make me angry Mami. See the thing with DH is that he'll just pile and pile and let it sit, and the drives me INSANE. He was home two days, and there's a pile of games and movies sitting in front of the TV - and I don't even know how he found time to play anything. Oh wait, every time he tried, I told him to turn it off and come help me. I'm evil, haha. ;)
One of our accomplishments is getting another shelf and making room for said shelf for our food storage - I'm on cloud 9 for that! I am doing rather well at staying out of the stores except for a sale stock up when there's a good deal, and of course, fresh things here and there. I'm doing better at snatching up the really good deals and taking as much as I know I should, instead of worrying about the money and taking it away from other things, or about space. We went to Costco Saturday to grab something for our later canceled BBQ, and DH asked if I wanted to hit up Target while we were out there. I knew it was going to be a madhouse so I said no... but DH convinced me and we were well rewarded - 28 pound Arm & Hammer cat litters for just $2.74! I grabbed all six they had left. People were looking at us like we were psychotic trying to push that cart up to the registers, but I really don't care. We are finally stocked up on cat litter for awhile and at a killer price! I wish there had been more, I would have gotten a second cart. LOL
Speaking of food storage, I just realized I forgot to switch out our emergency water supply. Ooops - I had better start that today. I like the July change over, I just use it for watering my plants. It goes a lot faster than waiting for the watering can to fill up.
...boy, that sounds lazy. lol
I think I've convinced DH that we need a family mini-road trip. We've lived here over 4 years now, and the only time we've been out of this core area was to go get the dogs! I want to visit the other side of the coast, or maybe Eastern Washington. I mentioned this to my SIL to get her to help with the "cause", and she said we should go visit Forks. Ha, ha. I know a lot of you adore the Twilight series, but eh... Vampires do not sparkle, they burn like a crispy critter. ;)
DH borrowed The Young Ones from a co-worker. It's a BBC series that we used to watch as teens. Sadly, it doesn't seem as funny as it used to be to me.

My hubby runs for the hills when he sees me standing and looking at a room. He knows I am in the mood to switch things around. Can't say I blame them much, it always looks worse before it looks better! Good luck getting to rights.
