Review & Giveaway: Animal Charms

When our Pudgy passed away to the Rainbow Bridge last July, I went in search of a few pieces to remember her by. I did the rounds, mostly focusing on Etsy, and a few other sites that focused on pet remembrance jewelry. What I ended up with was nothing special - one hand stamped piece didn't last very long - and both DH and I were rather disappointed. I was beginning to be feel like some places were just cashing in on folk's grief. :(

So when the package from Animal Charms arrived, I honestly prepared myself for disappointment again. When I opened the package, it was anything BUT disappointment. The box was safely secured in the package, something others don't do. But it gets even better - the necklace was safely secured inside this pretty little gift storage bag inside a little box. For presentation, Animal Charms definitely gets an A+ from me! I feel safe knowing I could order this as a gift and have it sent to the recipient, and it will look nice upon arrival instead of just shoved into a bubble mailer.

The charm itself is wonderful! I was afraid that the picture I sent, while one of our favorites, might not be up to par, since it was only shot with a 5.0 camera. The way it came out makes it look almost like a watercolor! And the pendant itself is clearly good quality, a heavy weight that is not going to snap on you when wearing it the first time, either. (This is not mall booth quality, it's the real deal) DH teared up when he came home and saw it waiting for him on the counter.


Now the charm I chose is a dog tag style, but it's also available in a round shape and a pretty little heart shape too. You choose the picture - any one that you'd like, so long as it is a high resolution if you can. You can also choose text engraving, and have your pet's name and dates on the back if you'd like. It truly makes a wonderful memorial gift because of this, and the price is a great deal too - just $39.99. (and it's worth the $39.99, honestly!)
